Alex Waugh, Secretary of The Rice Association, said: “We were so pleased with the launch of National Rice Week last year, raising awareness of the versatility of rice and its health benefits and producing hundreds and thousands of pounds worth of media coverage.
“We are extremely confident 2017 will be bigger and better!”
The Rice Association, leading the campaign, is to work with UK retailers, wholesalers and restaurants to communicate key messages behind National Rice Week. New recipes for consumer magazines and in store promotions will be part of National Rice Week’s marketing campaign.
All The Rice Association members, which include Gallo UK, Tilda, Bestway and East End Foods members, support National Rice Week.
