Newham Catering & Cleaning Services (NCCS) delivers a Building Cleaning service to a large number of schools and other establishments within the Borough. As part of the councils Small Business Programme NCCS has been identified as a department that is suitable for externalisation. This will mean that in the coming 12 months we will become a wholly owned company with a new name and branding, allowing us to tender for external business and develop and expand the excellent services we already provide to our customers and then deliver them elsewhere.
Area Cleaning Manager £34,935 - £37,851 pa.
We currently have a vacancy for an Area Manager to lead, develop and manage one of our staff-intensive cleaning teams within a designated area, providing our customers, predominantly schools, with high quality, front line cleaning services. You will have extensive knowledge of the cleaning sector and be experienced in managing various teams in a multi site environment.
You will be committed, flexible, innovative with a positive attitude to problem solving – an energetic team player who is able to make the decisions and get the job done! – and tact and initiative are a must.
You will need to have worked in a large cleaning organisation in either the public or private sector, have an eye to detail and quality, and to know how to motivate and lead a range of cleaning teams both in offices and schools.
You will possess either a Bics or City & Guilds in Cleaning.
