Calypso launches photo competition to engage school children

26 May 2015

Calypso, the school drink suppliers, is launching its ‘My Calypso Story’ competition in secondary schools across the UK in a bid to raise brand awareness and to engage consumers with its drink range.

The brand behind Aquajuice, Rapidz and Pure Juice, will launch the photo competition to give pupils aged 11-18 the chance to win prizes by sharing the story of their day through a collection of photos.

Michele Davies, marketing manager at Calypso, said: “We understand how important it is to keep our children healthy, and we’re extremely proud of our school approved status.

“However, we recognise that our target market is difficult to reach through traditional marketing channels and so by launching this campaign on social media, we hope to engage school children with the brand through a lively competition that will ultimately help to drive demand.”

Students simply need to submit their images to Calypso’s Facebook app to be entered into daily and weekly prize draws – all they have to do is ensure they have a Calypso product in hand.

Upon entering, pupils will have the chance to win a selection of daily prizes including iPod shuffles and vouchers.

All participants will also be entered in to a weekly prize draw, where they could win a fun-filled, active day out for a group of ten to enjoy a choice of activities like indoor skydiving, ski and snowboard school, tree top adventures and more.
