Foodservice supplier Phat Pasty to support LACA's National School Meals Week

Every Phat Eat Better Sausage Roll sold to school caterers during November will lead to a donation to their charity, The Word Forest Organisation. The money donated goes to communities in rural Kenya who use the funds to plant trees and build classrooms, whilst also supporting the local community.
To date Phat have planted over 25,000 trees in Kenya and helped provide materials to build a classroom as well as supporting healthier nutrition and sustainability across the regions.
A spokesperson for Phat said: “The Tuesday of School Meals Week, ‘Balanced Meals and Snacks’ is a perfect opportunity to serve the new ‘hybrid’ sausage rolls on menus. The new Phat Eat Better Sausage Rolls are available from both Bidfood and Brakes nationally.
"These demonstrate the way in which a recipe that uses less meat, improved nutrition and sustainability, combining British Red Tractor Pork and Wheat protein, can work together with a popular menu option and make improvements to a balanced diet."
