LACA releases statement on publication of Levelling-Up White Paper

LACA has welcomed the announcement made by the Department for Education (DFE) and the Food Standards Agency (FSA) to test whether local authority and food safety inspections can be used to assess compliance with School Food Standards.
“We are pleased that several LACA members will be taking part in this pilot. We have long believed that the school food standards should be monitored, this is the best way to ensure that children receive hot, healthy and nutritious meals.
“We look forward to working with the DFE and SFA on the design of these pilots in the coming months.”
