AiP opens kitchen hub to serve Buckinghamshire primary schools

23 Oct 2019
School caterer Alliance in Partnership (AiP) has opened a purpose-built kitchen hub in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, from which staff will prepare and cook 1,500 meals.

AiP has invested in additional vehicles operating from the kitchen to deliver the hot meals to five local primary schools.

The new kitchen hub was established due to the increasing demand from schools in Buckinghamshire who wished to provide school meals on site but were not able to.

Sally Tyson, key client director at AiP, said: “We had a lot of enquiries from primary schools in Buckinghamshire to provide a managed catering service which for practical reasons could not be delivered on site.

“We decided to make the investment as a business to design and built our own kitchen so that the schools could outsource to us and the concept is proving successful.”
