Annual Golf Day raises funds for charity Meals & More
Welcomed by Sysco GB chief executive Paul Nieduszynski, he highlighted the challenging times that thousands of children living in poverty still face, and praised the progress made by Meals & More during 2023 to support those children. Established by Brakes in 2015, the charity has supported provision of over two million meals during school holidays.
Over 320 guests enjoyed the evening meal prepared by the Brakes chefs and were entertained by comedy act Joan & Flo. TV presenter Chris Hollins and Sky Sports Golf presenter Di Stewart encouraged all to bid for some prizes in the auction and raffle, which resulted in record fundraising for the charity.
Nieduszynski said: “Our thanks go to all the sponsors, supporters, companies, donators, organisers, and participants, who during the day had been involved in the activities which included Golf, Track Racing at Brands Hatch, Golf Clinic, Health Spa and Chocolate School.
“Everyone had an amazing day, but all understood the reason why they were there, to help those children that are living daily in difficult situations and need that meal support when schools close.”
