The British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) is launching the UK's first frozen food business conference and exhibition next month.

The "must-visit" event, which is being held on 17 February at the Barceló Hinckley Island Hotel, Leicester, aims to bring the industry together to hear visionary speakers lead the debate on all matters dedicated to frozen food.

It will also give industry leaders the opportunity to comment on the economic environment and discuss and highlight the opportunities available in the frozen industry.

Alongside the conference there will also be an exhibition which will provide businesses with an opportunity to showcase their products and network with top frozen food businesses.

In addition, there will be sessions dedicated to sustainability, the BFFF foodservice promotional campaign, the BFFF consumer promotion initiative and a review of the foodservice sector.

Big names taking centre stage include Stuart Smith, group commercial, marketing & UK supply chain director for Brakes, Malcolm Walker, chief executive of Iceland Foods Ltd, Bill Bartlett, corporate affairs director of McCain Foods (GB) Ltd., Ed Garner, communications director for Kantar Worldpanel and Roger Martin-Fagg, economist from Ashridge Business School.

Meanwhile Alistair Campbell, former advisor to Tony Blair, will close the event with his insight on how to influence political leaders.

Brian Young, director general of the BFFF, says this event is a good platform for what the BFFF is all about: "The BFFF is constantly championing all parts of the frozen supply chain including producers, importers, brokers, wholesalers, retailers and those offering their services to our industry - all of which are focussed on the benefits that frozen offers.

"The BFFF Conference and Exhibition aims to bring the industry together with keynote speakers to discuss all matters concerning frozen. Along with a stellar speaker line-up, the conference also provides an excellent networking and product showcase opportunity for businesses across the frozen spectrum."
