Caterers AiP generates £80,000 in the run up to Christmas

24 Jan 2013
Caterers Alliance in Partnership (AiP) served over 25,000 Christmas dinners in schools across their portfolio, generating a £80,000 turnover in the run up to the festive period.

AiP's Christmas dinners are packed full of protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals which are essential for good health.

AiP’s operations managers were kept busy during December, reporting sales into their thousands. Each dinner was priced at £3.20 each.

Children from state and independent schools tucked into a menu which included free range turkey, fresh organic vegetables, locally grown potatoes and festive chocolate cake plus a nutritionally balanced drink. A vegetarian option is always provided on AiP’s menus and all meals are prepared and served according to government guidelines.

David Weller, managing director for AiP explained: “We are strong supporters of tradition and incorporate turkey into our school menus as part of our commitment to healthy food practices."

“Christmas is a busy time for schools which means a never-ending list of things to organise such as nativity plays, parties, discos, themed arts and crafts and other activities; a hearty meal is just what everyone needs to boost energy levels.”
