22 Jan 2016

Former England cricketer Freddie Flintoff and celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whitingstall have joined existing supporters Dame Judi Dench and Sol Campbell in the annual breakfast themed fundraising campaign from Winston’s Wish.

Fundraiser and Great British Brekkie coordinator, Lucy French, said: “We are now in our fourth year and it’s great to see the campaign continuing to grow.

“I’m always taken aback by the enthusiasm and the creativity of our breakfast hosts and volunteers. Every single penny raised will make a life-changing difference to bereaved children, young people and theirfamilies.”

The Great British Brekkie campaign runs from February 8th-14th and encourages families, friends, school children and teachers to host a charity breakfast to help raise funds to support bereaved children in the UK.

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall shared his favourite ‘leftover classic’ breakfast of eggy bread, whilst TV presenter Bill Oddie favoured a Greek inspired dish of yogurt with fresh fruit and crunchy muesli.
