Clegg’s Chilled Food Service has joined the Food for Life Catering Mark Supplier Scheme as part of its commitment to help their catering clients provide meals that are freshly prepared, free from undesirable additives and better for animal welfare.

A Clegg’s spokersperson, said: “We are very pleased and excited to have joined the Catering Mark Scheme. We are now looking forward to not only increasing our sales, but helping caterers achieve Food for Life Catering Awards.

“We already supply a number of contract caterers, universities, colleges, schools and hospitals who hold a Food for Life Award and we hope that by being accredited with the Soil Association will help us supply more caterers who hold the Food for Life award or caterers who are looking to achieve it.”

The Catering Mark provides an independent endorsement that caterers are taking steps to improve the food they serve.
