Following its recent annual inspection by the Soil Association, Doncaster Schools Catering has achieved the Silver Food for Life Served Here accreditation for its 95 primary and special schools for the third year running.
The school visit took place at Our Lady of Sorrows Academy in Armthorpe. Caron Longdon, Soil Association’s Food For Life Served Here manager for the north of England, presented the certificate and talked to the pupils about the award.
Doncaster Schools Catering manager Janet Sylvester, who is also vice chair of LACA’s Yorkshire & Humberside region, said: “We are delighted to achieve this award and take great pride in the quality and provenance of the food we provide for Doncaster children.
“Our staff produce over 19,000 meals each day and we know they are proud of the food they serve.”
