Sponsor Sarah Robb, foodservice marketing manager at Premier Foods added: “It’s been another exciting day of judging for our chef, Louise Wagstaffe who has been so impressed with the variety of dishes she has tasted. With three more finalists now revealed, it’s already shaping up to be an impressive display of culinary excellence as we look ahead to the final in July. Good luck to all the chefs who are still to cook in the next few weeks.”
As the only contestant from the East Midlands to qualify for the regional final, Lorna cooked alongside the Welsh heat at the First Choice Group Kitchen in Cannock. The winner of each of the nine regional finals will receive £100 and advance to the national final alongside two other wildcards.
With the competition focus on producing nutritious and delicious meals for 11-year-old primary or secondary school pupils, the SCOTY competition is the perfect showcase for passionate school chefs to demonstrate what they do best every day.
The LACA School Chef of the Year National Final will take place on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th July at the LACA Main Event.
