Education caterers AiP wins contract at Hertfordshire school

01 Sep 2011

Education caterers Alliance in Partnership (AiP) has secured a new contract worth £70,000 at Gorsley Goffs Primary School in Herefordshire.

The new contract will supply freshly hot and cold lunch meals via a daily delivery service, freshly prepared at the larger John Kyrle High School and Sixth Form Centre kitchen hub.

The hub already supplies five other local primary schools with nutritional meals and can easily incorporate the additional service.

David Weller, managing director for AiP, said: "We are really passionate about working with primary and first schools.

"By partnering with them we hope to significantly grow the uptake of fresh school meals and publicise the benefits over and above packed lunches.

"This way, pupils progressing through to secondary schools will continue eating plated school meals and eventually, when entering full time employment, will hopefully be healthier and happier individuals; we all know the advantages of a healthy diet!"
