Electrolux to host kitchen management workshop for education sector
On June 23rd, manufacturer Electrolux Professional is holding a kitchen management workshop for those in the education sector to help them streamline daily processes and improve kitchen output.
Electrolux Professional will open up its center of excellence in Luton to demonstrate how the consideration of both machinery and the lifecycle of food can aid efficiency.
A series of hands-on workshops and best practice demonstrations will explore various process options in food service, such as the preparation of food against buying pre-packaged, and compare equipment in terms of performance, reliability and maintaining food safety standards.
Darren Lockley, head of region for UK & Ireland at Electrolux Professional, said: “With the demands placed on kitchens in the education sector consistently high, especially for public sector primary schools adapting to cope with the introduction of UIFSM, we decided to dedicate a day at our center of excellence to help schools and school caterers make their operations as streamlined and efficient as possible.
“Workspace is often at a premium, so we hope to encourage those considering the needs of their kitchen to also think about the importance of building bespoke and sustainable solutions which are perfectly suited to their environment.
“The day will also provide opportunities for networking and the sharing of ideas, as well as the discussion of concerns faced within the industry and how some of these challenges can be overcome.
“Through bringing Electrolux solutions to life, we’re aiming to cover every important aspect of catering in the education setting, and help schools and their staff as they make preparations for the next academic year.”
