Flexible working top perk for hospitality workers

Research from independent job site CV Library has revealed how important workplace perks are to hospitality workers with 70% of professionals stating that they consider perks to be a key factor when looking for a job.

Flexible working (50%) came out on top of the survey followed by seasonal bonuses (33%) and staff discounts (29%). Extra holiday, casual dress code and free office snacks and drink also featured in the top ten.

Lee Biggins, founder and managing director of CV Library, said: “It’s interesting to see that hospitality workers are shying away from the more whimsical perks that have become somewhat of a fad in recent years. For example, ‘nap pods’ and ‘office bars’ are being shunned in favour of the more practical benefits, like flexible working and bonuses.”

The survey of 1,000 people found that 29% would turn job if the company didn’t offer workplace perks. It also found that 62% of hospitality workers aren’t currently receiving any perks at work.
