Three workshop sessions will be held at the LACA Main Event, which is taking place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole from 5-7 July 2023.

The free to attend workshop sessions will take place on Wednesday 5th July and offer practical advice on key operational issues, the impact of new legislation as well as sharing best practice case studies. The sessions include:

  • Workshop 1 (10.30-11) - Impact of the ban on Single Use Plastics
  • Workshop 2 (11-11.30) - Safeguarding your Catering Service
  • Workshop 3 (11-30-12) Ask the Education Experts

During the first workshop Roy Cox, sector specialist – plastics and packaging at WRAP, will discuss new legislation due to come into force this October banning single-use plastics across foodservice and hospitality.

LACA in Association with LBA Safety has launched a new initiative to support schools who run an in-house catering service. Lesley and Niall Bojko from LBA Safety will provide some key facts in relation to food safety management and an overview of this new service.

The final workshop will be a Ask the Education Experts session with Jacquie Blake, Anita Brown and Derek Wright. Attendees can submit their questions for the panel on the day, or you can send them in advance via email.
