Fresh Direct launches 25 new products for summer

28 Apr 2025
Fresh Direct, the fresh produce supplier to the foodservice industry, has announced the introduction of 25 new products as part of its summer season launch.

British produce spearheads the list of new products, extending the range of premium tomatoes from the Isle of Wight with the launch of mixed heritage tomatoes. Fresh Direct has also introduced a vertically-grown British-produced zesty salad bag as part of its ‘Taste Like Summer’ launch.

Innovation features heavily in the seasonal launch, with round courgettes and purple sweet potato adding vibrant colour to the plate, providing a twist on traditional favourites.

Helping to support kitchens across the country as increases in the cost of employment start to take effect, Fresh Direct has introduced a number of time-saving products including cajun spiced sweet potato cubes, honey and rosemary carrot and parsnip strips and mango as well as pineapple fingers, allowing busy kitchens to minimise prepping time.

Andy Pembroke, managing director of Fresh Direct, said: “We’ve got a proud record of bringing innovation to the fresh produce sector. We’ve launched more than 80 new fresh produce products in the past year providing a wealth of menu opportunities to thousands of caterers. And with the introduction of several products which will make life easier in the kitchen, our new season launch has something for everyone.”
