Gate Ventures, the school meal division of GV Group, is transporting an additional 300,000 meals a year to primary schools across the borough of Bexley in a new two year deal with Harrison Catering Services.

Nicola Turk, director of group schools at Harrison, said: “While Harrison’s foodservice is based around a fresh food offer, prepared from scratch on-site, for those schools where we have to produce food off-site and transport it, we have chosen a trusted partner in Gate Ventures.

“This means we can focus our expertise on developing and preparing high quality dishes, safe in the knowledge that they will be served to our customers on time, in the very best condition.

“We’ve been really impressed by Gate Ventures’ service history and the team’s ability to stay one step ahead of potential problems, thanks to a combination of the latest GPS technology, sector expertise and on-the-ground knowledge.

“Punctuality is crucial – there is no room for error with school meals – they have to be served at an exact time to fit in with the school timetable.”

The Bexley contract grows Gate Ventures’ existing relationship with Harrison.
