Harfield makes ‘real difference’ after supplying tableware for LACA’s Annual School Lunch event
Over 20 MPs attended the LACA event to talk with caterers about the importance and challenges of providing school meals. The event is LACA’s opportunity to showcase all that is great about school food.
Harfield stepped in to provide a full range of tableware for use at the event including cutlery, plates, bowls, side plates, cups and more.
Kate Hindley, sales director from Harfield said: “Harfield were honoured to support the Annual School Lunch event and are delighted that our tableware has gone to such an amazing charity. Thank you to everyone involved for making it happen.”
Harfield were keen to see the light equipment go to good use after the event, as too were LACA. As LACA’s head office is based in Chester, James (LACA Admin) was tasked to find a suitable ‘local’ recipient.
James contacted Chester Aid for the Homeless (CATH) who were only too happy to make use of the quality items at a number of homeless centres across the city and the wider community.
Robert Whittall, chief executive from CATH said: “Thank you on behalf of Chester Aid to the Homeless for your useful donation of kitchenware for the homeless of Chester. The donated items from LACA will help us replenish the items at the houses that we manage where we support up to 36 individuals.
“The remainder will be utilised at The Harold Tomlins Centre where we run a range of support sessions. The support we provide ranges from helping people attend appointments to finding them a safe place to live.
“The donation from you on behalf of LACA helps us to keep the practical support on track. On behalf of our staff and all the people they help, I would like to extend our deepest appreciation for your support; your donation is very much appreciated.”
