Hertfordshire Catering Limited development chef showcases food at Newmarket exhibition
HCL chef David Gower gave out a canapé breakfast selection of a spiced apple toddy, a natural yogurt, super food granola and a breakfast brioche with date and cinnamon butter.
The lunchtime offering was creamy, spiced butternut squash soup or chunky vegetable chilli served with pressed halloumi, roasted vegetable and herb sandwiches.
“Everyone who visited our stand commented on the quality of our food, and once they tasted it, they couldn’t help coming back for more,” said David Marney, HCL’s head of sales.
“It was truly rewarding to chat to so many potential new clients who were captivated by our bespoke branding, merchandising and the services we offer.
“We pride ourselves in demonstrating the innovation, enthusiasm and quality of our business structure, ensuring that HCL reaps its market positioning within the education catering sector – we even had clients taking photographs of our fantastic stand at the Show, which is a true accolade of our achievements.”
HCL provides school lunches for 95% of primary schools and 50% of secondary schools in Hertfordshire.
Last week, the company announced that its chief executive Lin O’Brien would retire after 25 years working within the county’s school meals service.
