Hobart's Roger Kellow honoured at LACA annual awards
Government account manager with catering equipment specialist Hobart, Roger Kellow, has been awarded the Chair's Award by school food industry organisation LACA at its annual awards.
Lead Association for Catering in Education (LACA) chair Carrieanne Bishop said Kellow had been a longstanding friend and supporter of the organisation and praised him for the help and advice he had provided her as a member.
Kellow, who has also played a leading role in the National Association for Care Catering (NACC) was previously honoured for his work within public sector catering when he was presented with the Cost Sector Catering Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.
Other big winners announced at the LACA Awards for Excellence at the Birmingham Metropole last night were the HC3S Management Team, which won the Catering Business of the Year Award, and LACA stalwart and school meals expert Pat Fellows, who was presented with the Roger Davis Outstanding Achievement Award.
The Department for Education (DfE) supported two new awards for the first time, Kesteven & Grantham Girls School winning the secondary award for school food achievement and Bolsover CofE Junior School picking up the primary award.
