Hospitality Action’s birthday quiz raises £82,000
The quiz was hosted by The Chase’s Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett and saw Henry Hirst Provisions Ltd crowned champions out of the 43 teams who took park.
Penny Moore, CEO, Hospitality Action, said: “What better way to help celebrate our 180th anniversary than by hosting a special birthday edition of our flagship annual quiz. It was great to see the industry come together to network and entertain colleagues and raise an amazing amount, which will hopefully help us to raise our target £1.8 million this year.”
The quiz itself raised £64,000 but the hotel also presented the charity with a cheque for £18,000, which was raised through its StreetSmart Campaign. The campaign saw the hotel raise funds via a voluntary £1 added to diners’ bills last winter with an additional £2,000 donated by the hotel.
