Jo Wotton shortlisted in BBC Cook of the Year award

Jo Wotton has been named on the shortlist in the BBC Cook of the Year award.
The award is part of Radio 4’s Food & Farming Awards and is given to a cook in an institutional setting who prepares tasty, healthy meals on a budget.
Three years ago Jo Wotton decided that the existing catering at her son’s school wasn’t very good and within six weeks created a catering service with other schools in the area.
Jo welcomed the introduction of the workforce Professional Standards, which were launched at the LACA conference last July.
She is using them across all five schools to improve the performance and morale of the catering team and support the delivery of a high quality meal service.
