Juniper celebrates school catering contract with new branding
The Juniper Club is the new primary school catering identity, designed to make lunchtime a moment of connection, discovery and joy. Combining food, fun and learning, it encourages healthy choices, sustainability and community through bright visuals, positive messages and engaging environments.
At Mayflower, the Juniper Club ‘transformation’ is visible throughout the dining areas, from hydration and snack stations to bright salad bars, and fun educational messaging around clearing trays and sorting waste.
Kelly Mackenzie, school business manager from The Mayflower Federation, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Juniper across our three primary schools. We’ve already built a strong partnership with the Juniper team and the feedback from students and staff about the food and visual branding has been extremely positive.”
Playful characters and illustrated fruit and vegetables encourage children to ‘scrape, sort and stack’, teaching positive habits and sustainability from a young age. Large-scale wall graphics promote wellbeing and balance in an accessible way, helping pupils understand the building blocks of a healthy diet.
Designs like ‘Your Plate is Your Power’ and ‘Recipe for Respect’ mix education with imagination and provide schools with the tools to make mealtimes valuable learning opportunities.
Mr Derrick Ogunsola, head of school at Ilderton Primary School, added: “The array of engaging, inviting signage bouncing from the walls has brought vibrancy and energy to the lunch hall. As the children entered the school, fresh into a new half term, they could see that something was different and couldn’t wait to have lunch.”
Juniper plans a phased roll-out of Juniper Club across its portfolio of primary schools over the coming months.
