LACA announces details for Main Event delegate programme
Michael Hales, managing director of Juniper Ventures and former LACA chair, will be the Forum Chair for the 2023 Main Event that is taking place at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole. Amar Latif is a presenter, director, entrepreneur, and blind adventurer. He will talk to delegates on the theme: ‘Don’t Let Anything Hold You Back’.
Dr Katie Wilson, executive director of the Urban School Food Alliance (US) has a passion for child nutrition and has dedicated her career to improving access to healthy food for all children and their families. She will be joined by Stephen Menyhart, food service director at Boulder Valley School District (US), to discuss the universal impact and challenges of school meals.
Sharon Hodgson, MP for Washington and Sunderland West, is chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on School Food and recently stepped down after two years as the Parliamentary Private Secretary to Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer. She will be delivering a keynote address on the work of the APPG on school food.
There will be a panel discussion that pulls together insight and updates from around the UK:
