LACA chair & vice chair attend Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace

Judith and Michael were invited by the Department for Education for their work with LACA, the representative body of the school food industry. The invite recognised their ‘outstanding dedication’ to education catering.
With over 300 local authorities, county and district councils, and London Boroughs represented in the membership, 80% of the school catering service in the UK is provided by LACA members. With around three million lunches being served every day in 27,000 schools, the LACA network is the country’s largest provider of school catering.
His Majesty The King hosted a Graden Party at Buckingham Palace, supported by the Department for Education, to celebrate and recognise those working in education. The Garden Party brought together around 7,000 representatives.
The duo enjoyed afternoon tea, music from military bands and drinks served in the Buckingham Palace Garden. Hales said: “We were both extremely honoured and humbled to have been there.”
