LACA unveils March Supply Chain Survey results

The School Food People are conducting the survey in order to understand the impact of issues within the school food sector.
The March survey focussed on several key topics including food shortages, supply issues, price increases, recruitment challenges and the Omicron variant.
The survey found dairy, fresh fruit and vegetables have previously been less affected but this month the responses indicate increases across all categories. Between 70 – 80% of respondents had had prices increase by up to 10 – 20%.
To avoid survey fatigue, and to get a fresh picture and member perception of the points covered in these snapshot survey it is suggested that we will run this again on a quarterly basis and so next seek views in May / June 2022.
