LACA vice chair collects APSE Award
The APSE Awards are specific to frontline services provided by UK local authorities. This year, the Awards included 22 categories, covering the vast majority of local services.
Paul O'Brien, APSE chief executive, said: "This year we received an overwhelming number of submissions for the Awards, with each one demonstrating a clear commitment to the goals of continuous improvement and the delivery of excellence in public services.
"From parks to school meals, from collecting bins to caring for older people, it is a real honour to recognise the fantastic work local councils do at the frontline. Today is their day."
The winners were announced at the APSE Annual Charity Awards Dinner, in aid of Parkinson’s UK, on Thursday 15 September 2022 at the Swansea Arena.
LACA chair Brad Pearce said on Twitter: “Congratulations to Anita Brown and Stockton on Tees Borough Council [for winning the] Best Service Team of the Year (Catering) at the APSE Awards.”
