LACA webinar to update members on Main Event
The LACA Main Event (5-7th July) features keynote speakers for the delegate programme, the Finishing Touches competition, the School Chef of the Year (SCOTY) national final, the LACA Awards for Excellence and the new Grab & Go Challenge.
The Main Event will also feature the School Food Show where 160 exhibitors will showcase food, beverages, equipment, systems and services. With caterers facing a greater challenge than ever before to deliver the right meal at the right price, the Show will provide visitors with the ideal environment in which to meet suppliers and manufacturers who can offer products and solutions to help them.
On the webinar Green Cuisine will also reveal ‘The Green Paper’ research into children’s eating habits and trends linked to health and plant-based food. There will also be an update on the new service from LACA- ‘Safeguarding Your Catering Service’.
The webinar will include a review of the latest cost of living survey that found caterers were ‘increasingly concerned’ about the future of their school meals service especially in rural areas where transport costs place extra pressure on provision.
