LACA’s National School Meals Week began on Monday with a day at the Senedd in Cardiff where eight school chefs spent the day in the kitchen. Activities are taking place all week and LACA is inviting schools, operators and school chefs to share a piece of the action on Twitter using #Schoolmealsshoutout. Today, LACA will be showcasing what’s great about school food at the Houses of Parliament. Sharon Hodgson MP and Roberta Blackman-Woods MP will host the event, which will feature tasters of hot meals prepared by education caterers. The LACA regions have also shared their favourite recipes and is asking parents to #cookityourselfie. The NSMW team has made 5 x 30 second videos showing parents how easy it is to cook food that is being prepared and cooked in their children’s schools.
