Nine finalists announced for Big School Bake Off competition
The finalists were picked after Judges from Unilever Food Solutions and The Children’s Food Trust reviewed paper entries. Recipes had to contain at least 50% fruit in line with School Food Standards in England.
Alex Hall, chief executive of Unilever Food Solutions, said: “Our aim for this competition has always been to encourage school caterers to bake from scratch and show the skill that’s out there in this part of the industry.
“We’ve seen some great fruity bakes on paper. I can’t wait to taste them and see how they shape up at the live final.”
The winner of the competition will be awarded a £500 Love2Shop voucher, a trophy for them and their school and a further £100 Love2Schop voucher for their school, courtesy of Hobart UK.
