LACA have opened nominations for their prestigious ‘Awards for Excellence’.  Nominations will close on April 30^th 2015 and the awards will be announced on Thursday July 9^th at the Gala and Awards dinner which forms part of the annual LACA ‘Main Event’ at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

This year we are delighted to have launched a new award supported by the Department for Education.  The DfE School Food Achievement Award will be presented to one primary and one secondary school that, in the opinion of the judges, has strived to achieve the most significant improvements in catering and food education taking a whole school approach.

The awards are the highlight of the LACA Main Event which encompasses 3 days of training, development, information sharing and celebration for those involved in the provision of school food.  The event includes headline speakers, workshop sessions, a 160+ exhibition from suppliers to the school food sector, cookery competitions, the awards and much more.
