Public Sector Catering Alliance appoints Anita Brown as vice chair
The PSC Alliance offers a collaborative forum and lobbying voice on issues of common interest across education, health and social care, prisons and the military.
Jayne Jones, assistant director for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, has been named as chair of the organisation. After being vice chair of the organisation for two years, Anita will take over the role as chair.
In her day job, Anita is service manager at Stockton on Tees Borough Council. Anita started as a school cook in the days of endless budgets and no standards. Over the years Anita has seen lots of changes through Best Value and Compulsory Competitive Tendering (CCT).
Stockton on Tees Borough Council provides school meals to 50 schools & academies across the borough meeting the needs of their diverse communities.
Speaking about Anita’s appointment, Jayne said: “I'm delighted that Anita Brown is our vice chair, she is hard-working, caring and values our people above all.”
