Result of SCOTY 2014 Welsh regional final
The Welsh regional final of LACA’s School Chef of the Year 2014, sponsored by Maggi from Nestlé Professional, has been won by Kate Davies. She works at St Gwladys Primary School.
Employed by Caerphilly Catering on behalf of Caerphilly County Borough Council, she will now go forward to the final at the Defence Foodservices School, Worthy Down in Hampshire on May 21st.
At Croesyceiliog CEC on March 3rd, her winning dishes included a main course of ‘a taste of the east’ (spiced beef kebabs served with fragrant coconut rice, Indian flat breads & cool mint and cucumber dip and sweet and spicy apple chutney).
She followed this up with a dessert of apple and cinnamon samosas (apple and cinnamon samosas served with a sweet yogurt sauce & raspberry coulis).
