Russums picks Children’s Food Trust as charity of the year

06 Jun 2016

Catering clothing and equipment supplier Russums has chosen the Children’s Food Trust as its charity of the year.

The Yorkshire based company will make a donation to the Trust’s running and operation costs, as well as the training programmes it delivers for all sales from a special Russums collection.

John-Paul Marsden, sales & marketing manager, said: “Russums specialise in supplying schools, colleges and training establishments throughout the UK with fit for purpose, food preparation products.

“Through working with the Children’s Food Trust we have identified practical, value for money clothing and equipment specifically for children, teachers and cookery clubs.

“In addition to providing an important source of equipment that clubs need, we will be making a donation to help towards the excellent work the charity does, promoting children’s healthy eating.”

Children’s Food Trust CEO, Linda Cregan, said: “We know from our national Let’s Get Cooking network of school cooking clubs that having the right kit helps, so this collection is a great starting point for anyone working to get kids cooking.

“That Russums is making a donation from all sales to support our work is the icing on the cake – we’re very proud to be the chosen charity of such a successful Yorkshire business.”

From children’s aprons to cooking club equipment starter kits, the collection focuses on items that will help get children cooking, whether at home, in school or in a cooking club.
