School bans packed lunches after parents give children cold fast food

Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School in Greenley, Buckinghamshire, has enforced a school meals only rule after parents had sent pupils to school with cold fast food.
The Mirror reports that a lunchbox ban will now apply to children in reception to Year 2 after children were also sent to school with whole packets of biscuits.
Compass' education company Chartwells supply meals to the school and the head has urged parents to make use of the universal infant free school meals scheme, which saves parents £485 a year.
