School caterer Pabulum renews 12 key contracts worth £14.7m

14 Jan 2016

School caterer Pabulum has announced that it has renewed contracts with 12 schools, giving a total value to the business of £14.7m.

Four schools chose to retain Pabulum for a further five years, totalling £8.4m, and a further eight retained Pabulum for between two and four years each, with contracts worth £6.3m in total.

Managing director, Nelson Williams, said: “We pride ourselves on the excellent partnerships we have with our schools. It is particularly pleasing to see how much business we have retained in the last six months, to me it underpins our two key differentiators, a fresh food company without compromise and strong commercial partners.”

To meet uptake demands Pabulum has made a number of investments and will be introducing new ‘airstream’-style food cubes to serve from at several schools.

In addition to this, Pabulum will also be bringing its ‘I Love Coffee’ brand to some of the schools. Also, a new hot sandwich offer will be developed as a direct result of focus groups and listening to student feedback.
