The latest LACA webinar, which takes place on Friday, July 3rd, offers a chance to find out about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on children’s nutrition and health, when Alex Norris MP joins the discussion.

Appointed Shadow Minister for Public Health in March, following Sir Keir Starmer’s election as new leader of the Labour Party, he will discuss not only the impact of the lockdown and school closures on children’s nutrition and health, but will also share his views on how the school food sector can continue to help tackle the wider problem of childhood obesity.

He has served as MP for Nottingham North since June 2017 and has a keen interest in education and local government. A governor at a local school in Nottingham, he was previously a councillor at Nottingham City Council where he served as Portfolio Holder for Adults and Health.

He previously worked as a UNISON area organiser and is also a member of the GMB.

The webinar will take place at 10am Friday, July 3rd.
