SCOTY West Midlands winner revealed

The School Chef of the Year sponsored by McDougalls West Midlands winner was revealed as Tanya Malone, employed by Educaterers.

Based at Rugby Free Secondary School in Warwickshire, she will now go on to compete against nine other regional champions in the National Final on 7 March in Stratford Upon Avon. 

Her winning main was a twist of fish, a fish crumble with spaghetti potato and courgette and carrot puree .

The desert was a twist pizza, a sweet-topped pizza with a wedge of lime jelly.

Held yesterday (10 January), the contestants had to cook their dishes against the clock and under the scrutiny of a panel of Judges.  They had 90 minutes to prepare four portions of a main course and a dessert suitable for serving to 11 year olds in school.
