WRAP joins forces with Defra on food waste survey

WRAP has partnered with Defra to create a survey to gather data from large food & drink businesses in England and Wales on food waste reporting barriers, enablers and how any financial costs or savings related to measuring and reporting might impact consumers.
The survey, which can be found here, closes on Friday 1st March. Defra are hoping to get responses from as many large food and drink businesses as possible (both those currently measuring and reporting on food waste and those who are not).
Defra consulted on improved food waste reporting by large businesses in England and published a Government Response in July 2023. In November 2023, Defra announced that the new Secretary of State had decided to retake the decision, re-considering all options including mandatory measures for large businesses.
The questionnaire should take no more than ten minutes to complete (although it may take you more time to gather the required information).
