Kevin Sime started Sime Catering Ltd in 2009 following 8 years in the commercial catering equipment sector. Year on year the company has grown from word of mouth recommendations.
Following 41 years in the commercial and welfare catering sector, Ann Kahrman joined in 2015, taking on the financial management and office functions.
We are a family business with a turnover of £360,000 last year (2017). We work mainly in Midlands and are commited to maintaining excellent customer service by listening to our customers and developing our engineers to meet our service ethos.
Our engineers can work on all fixed commercial catering equipment. We provide annual servicing and / or breakdown repair service for our customers.
We offer advice on viability of repairs versus replacment to get best value for limited budgets. We can design kitchens or realign cooking islands when replacing equipment.
Our customers are schools, academies, social care establishments and local commercial caterers.
For breakdown cover and annual servicing we cover a radius of 40 miles from our Atherstone base.
We do not tie our customers into fixed contracts. Our belief is that our customers will stay with us because we offer impartial advice and work to a high standard. We understand the issue that both budget holders and the kitchen staff as the equipment users have and can offer good practical solutions to meet both needs and most importantly keep the kitchens operating to ensure their customers are fed.
We plan to continue growing our business year on year, maintain our customer base and adding new customers each year. Last year we were successful in our bid to go on the ESPO framework.
