This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated Area Catering Manager to join our team as we embark on our journey as a limited company enabling us to develop a new name and brand and to tender for external business and develop the already excellent services that we provide each day. Recently externalised from the London Borough of Newham, Juniper Ventures Limited is creating huge opportunities both for our own staff and for individuals new to the business who have strong commercial acumen, entrepreneurial spirit and a flair for leadership.

We are looking for a commercially aware and experienced Area Catering Manager who wishes to pursue a career within this exciting new organisation which offers excitement, job satisfaction and career progression. This role will require the candidate to be flexible in their approach, have a good understanding of multi-unit management, commercial education catering responsibilities and have a strong desire to build on and improve existing standards.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to;

  • Communicate regularly with customers, kitchen teams and clients
  • Manage all aspects of catering operations at our schools and other commercial outlets
  • Improve and maintain the standards of service and quality of food and customer satisfaction
  • Promote the market and show innovation within our services at all times
  • Supervise, co-ordinate, motivate, train and work with catering teams to provide a quality service
  • Manage the financial controls and Profit and Loss accounts at individual locations level
  • demonstrate the use of Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel & Power Point

The ideal candidate will be able to;

  • Develop, train and motivate catering teams
  • Illustrate their possession of excellent financial acumen
  • explain how their proven track record in the successful provision of catering services – particularly to education or a commercial environment – will bring benefits to Juniper Ventures Limited.
  • demonstrate their excellent communication skills – both written and spoken
  • explain why they are self motivated and able to adapt to an ever changing environment
  • Evidence excellent people management skills
  • Explain their previous experience of managing catering teams in a multi site environment
  • show they have an eye for detail and a flair with food and customers

Qualifications Required

  • Catering Management / Craft Qualifications to HND or Diploma, or City & Guilds level
  • Current Food Safety & Healthy and Safety – Level 3 equivalent
  • Allergen Awareness
  • GDPS Awareness
