Pamela wins through to SCoTY final from NE & Scotland

Another regional heat of LACA’s 2013 School Chef of the Year (SCoTY) competition has taken place, this time Pamela Jamieson winning the North East and Scotland Region final held at Gateshead College on February 11th.

Pamela works for Facilities Management at Cumbrae Primary School for North Ayrshire Council. She served up Ravioli with Tomato Sauce and Parmesan Breadstick for a main course followed by Mini Pancakes with Honey and Raspberry Sauce.

Wendy McIntosh, who works for Tayside Contracts at Burnside Primary School for Tayside Council won the Highly Commended Main Course award for her Hook, Line & Sinker (fish fingers, potato wedges, minted pea puree and tomato sauce).

Debbie Thompson, who works at Layfield Primary School for Stockton Borough Council won the Highly Commended Dessert award for her Sugar Coated Courgette, Lemon And Lime Cake, Served with a Lemon Posset.

The SCoTY 2013 final will take place on May 22nd at the Defence Services School, Worthy Down in Hampshire. The competition is sponsored by Maggi from Nestlé Professional.
