The Westminster Food and Nutrition Forum Keynote Seminar will take place on October 17 in central London.

Business practice and policy options for tackling obesity in England will be discussed.

The agenda includes keynote addresses from Heather Peace, head of nutrition science and policy, Food Standards Scotland and Kate Halliwell, head of UK diet and health policy, Food and Drink Federation.

Delegates will discuss challenges for providing healthier alternatives, as outlined in the recent Food and Drink Federation’s Feed Change report.
They will also consider the opportunities for prevention and early intervention.

Further sessions discuss the soft drinks industry levy, the ongoing sugar reduction programme and action being taken in London, following the Mayor’s announcement of a child obesity taskforce, as well as plans to ban junk food adverts in the capital.
