In 1938, Harry Workman founded Cotteswold Dairy Ltd when it was just a 30 gallon milk round. Harry grew the business by adhering to a strict policy of real service to the customer and top quality products. Today, these values are still at the forefront of our business and it is because of this that we are thriving as an independent, 3rd generation family owned dairy in a very competitive market place. Working with local farmers, within a 50 mile radius of the dairy, and using our own chilled distribution fleet, means that we are able to supply the highest quality milk and dairy produce direct to your door and to wholesalers and retailers across our vast distribution area. We pride ourselves with building successful longstanding relationships with our farmers, who are all members of the National Dairy Farm assured scheme. We process Conventional, Organic, Free Range and Channel Island milk and cream, and also a range of cultured products made from Channel Island milk. To complement our own products we carefully select supply partners to provide other high quality products including eggs, yogurts, butter, bread & cheese. We now have distribution depots situated in North Wales, Shrewsbury and Cheltenham, as well as distributing from our main site in Tewkesbury. We hold a BRC certificate at A grade and all of our milk comes from Red Tractor assured farms. We have Organic Farmers & Growers certification and our Free Range milk carries the Pasture Promise logo.
Free range milk is a new initiative that aims to support traditional British farming methods of cows grazing in fields. The 180 day graze promise stipulated by the Free Range Dairy under their pasture promise logo ensures that Cows are free to graze and have a large intake of natural grass.
